Does Breathing for Sleep Work? Claims vs Evidence

Two different questions

Question one is whether slow breathing before bed can help sleep. A recent systematic review suggests possible subjective benefits. Question two is whether the specific Breathing for Sleep program's proprietary claims have been independently demonstrated. Those are not the same question.

What the merchant says

The merchant currently promotes a tongue-focused routine and makes claims about very rapid sleep, tongue posture, snoring and a supposed underlying cause of poor sleep. We treat those as merchant claims rather than established clinical findings.

What independent research supports

Independent evidence supports studying slow breathing as a relaxation strategy, but objective sleep outcomes remain inconclusive. Clinical guidance for chronic insomnia gives much stronger support to CBT-I.
